Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered Patch 2 Notes

Patch 2 is scheduled to go live on the 14th of August 2025 (tomorrow) with the rollout beginning at 9 AM PST. The update includes bug fixes, crash improvements, and a variety of visual and localization updates across all three games.

Here's a summary of what's been addressed:

Now Available – Golden Pistols

How to unlock?

Scroll toward the Join the Society of Raiders page from the game select screen (past Angel of Darkness screen).

Click on the Register button to generate the QR code.

Scan the QR code to be brought over to the tombraider.com registration page. Register on the page, or log in with your Society of Raiders account if you registered previously.

Once registration is complete, a "Success!" screen will appear.

Enter either Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation or Tomb Raider: Chronicles

Once in the game, go to the Sunglass menu -> Outfit to toggle the Golden Pistols on or off.

Notes:

User must register on tombraider.com before the pistols are unlocked.
Golden Pistols are not available in Angel of Darkness

Crash Fixes & Stability

Addressed rare crashes during specific cutscenes and transitions (“The Vault of Trophies,” “Galleries Under Siege,” “Boaz Returns”).
Fixed a crash that would occur when changing outfits in Photo Mode during boss fights.
Improved stability when exiting the game or loading certain levels.

Gameplay & Progression

Fixed softlocks that could occur in specific levels (e.g., elevators, platforming sections).
Addressed issues where Lara could get stuck or fall through the world.
Improved save/load behavior for destructible environments and cutscene states.
Fixed issues with Lara remaining in mid-air or animations looping incorrectly after reloading saves.

Photo Mode Fixes

Adjusted filter intensity and fixed bugs where filters were too strong or not applied correctly.
Fixed translation issues in filter names and descriptions across multiple languages.
Corrected visual glitches with Lara’s braid, outfits, and lighting when using Photo Mode.

Visual & Graphical Improvements

Resolved lighting, texture, and reflection issues across numerous HD levels.
Fixed missing or misaligned visual effects like water, glass, snow, steam, and fire.
Improved character models and fixed clipping issues in HD versions (jackets, holsters, accessories).
Reduced z-fighting and shadow flickering throughout multiple levels.

Audio & Voiceover

Restored missing or incorrect voiceover lines in various languages (especially Brazilian Portuguese).
Fixed looping or missing sound effects during key gameplay moments and cinematics.

Localization Updates

Fixed untranslated menu items, outfit names, and Photo Mode settings in non-English languages.
Corrected incorrect achievement descriptions in German localization on PlayStation 5.

User Interface & Inventory

Improved inventory navigation and fixed alignment issues in several menus.
Fixed missing or incorrect controller prompts.
Register page updates for proper account linking and UI clarity.

Miscellaneous Fixes

Updated EULA and copyright text.
Fixed achievement unlock conditions on PC.
Improved cutscene timing and transitions.
Addressed bugs related to Lara’s health bar, reflections, and outfit unlock conditions.
