Lara Croft Visits the Pinball Arcades

Zen Studios has been known for making digital pinball video games inspired by the biggest entertainment brands for more than a decade, mixing the features of traditional silver ball action with innovative video game elements. Our games, Pinball FX, Pinball FX VR, and Zen Pinball World, cover most of the gaming space with PC, Consoles, Meta Quest, and mobile.

That’s why we were thrilled to announce our collaboration with Tomb Raider, a franchise that has defined adventure gaming for decades. Lara Croft’s blend of action, exploration, and puzzle-solving makes her the perfect fit for the world of pinball. This crossover allows us to celebrate her legacy in a new, hands-on format - one that rewards quick thinking, precision, and a spirit of discovery, just like her greatest adventures.

But how does a pinball table capture such a rich history as Lara Croft has? Our two new tables, Adventures of Lara Croft and Secrets of Croft Manor, each highlight a different side of her story. In Adventures of Lara Croft, players embark on a global journey through iconic locations like Venice, Egypt, and the Great Wall of China. We’ve taken great care to recreate the details of these locations that fans will instantly recognize. You’ll even wield her signature dual pistols through innovative mini-games and fast-paced multiball sequences. Every moment is designed to capture the spirit of her iconic escapades.

Secrets of Croft Manor invites players into Lara’s ancestral home to uncover secrets and explore the roots of her legacy in a more introspective, mystery-driven experience. There’s a ton going on that will amaze Tomb Raider fans: agility courses, combat training, puzzle-solving sessions, and a maze to get lost (and found) in.

It can be challenging to blend such an amazing story into two pinball tables, that’s why we used dynamic interactive toys on both playfields, so players can live through these experiences and dive deep into the story.

Pinball may appear simple at first glance, but it’s a genre rich with depth and challenge. Behind every ramp and character is a web of strategy, timing, and precision. Our Tomb Raider tables are built to reflect this complexity, offering multiple missions and dynamic interactions that reward both new players and pinball veterans.
